Understanding G-d begins by understanding yourself. Sounds weird?

Understanding G-d begins by understanding yourself. Sounds weird?

Here’s what I mean—simplified:

Step 1: Awareness

Notice Your Inner Roommates. Inside you, there are two voices:

1. The G-dly voice (calm, wise, kind)

2. The animal voice (embarrassed, scared, reactive)

“Reactive” may mean your animal voice responds automatically with patterns you’ve learned from past hurts, like:

1. Fight: Getting defensive or angry quickly.

2. Flight: Excessive business or avoiding situations.

3. Freeze: Feeling stuck and unable to act.

4. Fawn: Trying too hard to please others.

These patterns help you feel in control. It’s exhausting, right?

Step 2: Stop Fighting, Start Accepting

You don’t have to “fix” yourself. Just accept the animal voice with compassion. Say something like, “Hey, I see you’re embarrassed. It’s okay, I’m here.” Instant relief.

Step 3: Set Kind Boundaries

Acceptance doesn’t mean letting your animal voice keep you lonely. It means setting gentle rules:

1. “It’s okay to feel lonely, but let’s reach out and connect anyway.”

2. “I hear you, but let’s open up to others and trust this moment.”

Boundaries feel safe. Safe feels connected. The Ancient Secret? The Holy Temple in Jerusalem was more than a building. It helped people deeply feel how much G-d cares about us.

When people visited, they experienced awe, yearning, and love towards G-d stronger than ever before—because they felt seen, understood, and loved.

They learned:

1. How to feel closer to G-d.

2. How to feel closer to themselves.

And suddenly—loneliness didn’t feel so lonely anymore.

Try This Today:

Notice one fear inside you. Instead of fighting it, say kindly: “I see you. I’m here. Let’s do this together.” Connection starts when your heart feels safe.

You’re never as alone as you think.
