In addition to the trauma every society carries from generations of war, poverty, and survival, which already gives all of humanity a baseline of inherited PTSD. And on top of that shared human suffering, the Jewish people endured forced conversions, expulsions, censorship, pogroms, torture, and systemic pressure under Christian empires.
And if you look honestly at the founder they claim to follow, it becomes obvious:
He would never have wanted an institution using his name to traumatize an entire people just trying to survive.
If anything, the moral message attributed to him points in the opposite direction:
If injustice was done in his name, he would want healing done in his name too.
So the real question isn’t theological, it’s ethical:
If an institution caused collective psychological harm for 1400 years, shouldn’t that same institution take responsibility for funding the healing of the people it wounded?
This isn’t about blame.
It’s about repairing a fracture in human history, and creating a future with less inherited pain.
