Because to exist is to feel separate.
That’s what it means to be a “something.” (yesh)
But that’s not a punishment, it’s the design.
If we were one with G-d completely,
we’d dissolve back into infinity.
No choice.
No love.
No awe.
So He built a world
where we could feel distance
and choose connection.
That’s the paradox:
our pain is real,
and it’s also how His unconditional love
becomes real through us.
Every moment of longing,
every hunger for meaning,
every sadness for what feels missing
is how His essence,
Infinite Love,
enters the human story.
And through life’s struggles,
we become capable of feeling joy without shame,
because we helped transform our bodies
through refining our personalities,
turning them into vessels
that can hold more light (blessing),
more love,
and more truth.
And when we start noticing
how G-d is kind,
G-dliness spreads around the world,
because that awareness
moves us to do acts of G-dliness:
acts of goodness with boundaries.
Pain isn’t the opposite of G-dliness.
It’s the space where we meet Him.
Even the feeling of “missing”
is how He’s already reaching for you.
