What happens when you don’t believe your personality matters?

If deep down you believe:

1. I’m replaceable

2. My needs are a problem

3. My feelings don’t count

Then you don’t practice relationship mode. You go into survival mode.

What survival mode means :

Survival mode is about avoiding uncertainty.

Your body is thinking:

“Don’t mess up.”

“Don’t get in trouble.”

“Don’t lose connection.”

“Don’t get hurt.”

So instead of showing up honestly, you focus on staying safe.

What that looks like:

In survival mode, your relationship turns into:

1. Fear

2. Obedience without emotion

3. People pleasing

4. Distance

5. Numbness

6. Going through the motions

You’re not sharing how you feel.

You’re not asking real questions.

You’re not bringing your real self.

You’re just trying not to do something wrong.

Why this isn’t relationship, Relationship mode is different. Survival mode is about avoiding danger. Relationship mode is about choosing connection.

Connection means:

1. I can be honest

2. I can respond, not just react

3. I can bring my thoughts and feelings into conversation

4. I believe my presence matters

If you don’t believe you matter, your body won’t risk connection.

It will choose safety instead.

What’s going on?

If you think you don’t matter, you don’t show up as you.

You show up as a version of yourself that is just trying to stay safe.

And that’s why believing you matter, your personality, comes before practicing a relationship with the Creator.
