We feel the struggle. We feel the options. We feel the responsibility to choose good.
But from G-d’s perspective?
There is no “unknown” for Him to wait and see. His knowing is the energy that creates the moment in which you choose.
Not afterwards. Not as a prediction. Right now, His knowledge is the power holding your reality together. That means free choice exists for us but not from His point of view.
G-d’s knowledge isn’t like human knowledge. We learn about things outside of us. G-d’s knowledge is the thing. His knowing creates it. So when you make a choice, you’re not surprising Him. You’re living inside the very reality His knowing brings into being. You experience real choice. He experiences nothing new.
Think of it like this:
You feel like you’re walking your path step by step. G-d is the One creating the path, the steps, and the one walking them, all at once.
So from inside the story, you’re choosing. From beyond the story, He’s creating. We can choose even though He already knows Because His knowing doesn’t force your choice. It simply contains it. Like an author writing a chapter, the characters still “feel” their decisions, even though the author already wrote them.
But in G-d’s case, it’s even deeper:
His knowing sustains the choice, the chooser, and the ability to choose.
What is happening?
We have free choice because we experience life from the inside. G-d doesn’t “watch” our choices, His knowing creates the moment. So nothing is new to Him, but everything is meaningful for us.
This is how a meaningful relationship happens between the Infinite and the finite.
