A spiritual journey is not escaping the world.
It’s practicing relationship with the One who gives the world existence.
Spirituality is not information. It’s interaction.
Talking.
Listening.
Arguing.
Thanking.
Crying.
Trusting again.
The Book of Psalms is not poetry about ideas. It’s a book of intimacy.
King David doesn’t pretend to be calm.
He says:
“Why are You hiding?”
“I trust You.”
“From the depths I call.”
“You are my shepherd.”
Joy.
Fear.
Confusion.
Gratitude.
Longing.
He brings all of it into the relationship. That’s spirituality. Not perfection. Practice.
Staying in dialogue with the Source of reality.
