Words are made for descriptions

They can describe qualities:

wise, kind, powerful, patient, giving, alive.

They can describe experiences:

joy, sadness, fear, pleasure, wonder.

They can describe roles:

king, creator, father, teacher, judge.

But words only describe the part of truth that can enter human understanding.

A word gives truth one shape.

That is why silence can teach us something deep.

Not because silence is empty.

Because silence has not yet become limited to one word.

Silence is the space before truth becomes a sentence.

Before wisdom becomes an idea.

Before wonder becomes an explanation.

This matters because The Creator is not only someone to understand.

The Creator is King.

Not because The Creator needs human titles.

Because a finite person needs a relationship structure to stand before the Infinite One.

Psychology shows that the human mind cannot relate to overwhelming greatness without structure.

Without structure, the nervous system may feel overwhelmed, try to control everything, avoid the truth, or go numb.

Kingship gives the human personality a structure for awe, responsibility, humility, trust, and healthy surrender.

Awe Comes Before Understanding

That is why relationship with a king does not begin with “I understand everything.”

It begins with awe:

sadness, fear, and wonder before something greater than the self.

Sadness because His greatness is hidden and His goodness can always be more revealed.

Fear because life is a responsibility before the King of the universe.

Wonder because everything exists only because He wants it to exist. – Based on Chabad Chassidus teachings.

The Mind Tries to Remove Mystery

When The Creator feels too great for the mind to hold, the mind may try to remove the mystery by explaining everything.

But relationship with The Creator cannot begin by forcing Him into what we already understand.

It begins with humility.

It begins with silence.

It begins when the mind stops trying to own the whole truth.

Wisdom is powerful.

But wisdom is not the whole truth.

Wisdom is only the first point where truth becomes conscious.

There is always a silence around wisdom.

A mystery around understanding.

A depth that was not yet communicated.

The Creator Is Beyond Every Word

That is why The Creator cannot be captured by words.

The Creator is called wise.

But His essence is beyond wisdom.

The Creator is called kind.

But His essence is beyond kindness.

The Creator is called alive.

But His essence is beyond life as we understand life.

Life itself points beyond itself.

Life is not one more trait a person has.

Life is what allows every trait to exist, move, and be expressed.

But The Creator is deeper than life.

He is the source that gives life its existence.

So no word can define His essence.

Not wisdom.

Not kindness.

Not power.

Not even life.

These words help us relate to what He reveals.

But they do not capture what He is.

This is why silence matters.

Silence is not emptiness.

Silence is humility before a truth that is bigger than the mind.

It is the place where a person stops trying to force The Creator into a box.

It is the place of awe.

The place of surrender.

The place where a person can say:

“I do not need to understand everything before I live in relationship.”

Because a king is not reduced to what the citizen understands.

And The Creator is not reduced to what the human mind can explain.

The deepest relationship begins when I can stand before Him with sadness, fear, and wonder.

Not because I know nothing.

But because I know the truth is greater than what I know.

That is why the deepest truth is not only in the words that were written.

It is also in the light beyond the words.

Words are where truth becomes small enough for the mind.

Silence is where truth remains larger than the mind.

“The Creator is beyond description. But human beings still need a relationship structure. Kingship is that structure, not a description of His essence.”
