Some try to control through aggression or people pleasing. Some try to be perfect. That doesn’t stop redemption.

Why do our anxious parts act this way?

Those parts were trying to help when life didn’t feel safe.

What slows redemption down?

What does slow redemption is when we think:

“I need to fix myself first.”

“I need to be better before I belong.”

“I need to earn relationship.”

Do we have to be perfect before we belong?

But real relationship doesn’t start after perfection.

It starts with honesty.

It starts when we let the Creator meet us right where we are.

Not when our personality is polished, but when we are emotionally available with The Creator.

Redemption comes when relationship is allowed to come first.

Questions people ask

Why do some parts of us feel anxious?

Some parts of us are anxious because they were trying to help when life did not feel safe. They may try to control through aggression or people pleasing, or they may try to be perfect. None of that stops redemption, and none of it means we must fix ourselves first.

Do people pleasing and trying to be perfect stop redemption?

No. Trying to control through aggression or people pleasing, or trying to be perfect, does not stop redemption. Those parts were trying to help when life did not feel safe. Redemption is slowed by something else: the belief that we must fix ourselves before we belong.

Do I need to fix myself before I belong?

No. Thinking I need to fix myself first, be better before I belong, or earn relationship is what slows redemption. Real relationship does not start after perfection. It starts with honesty, when we let the Creator meet us right where we are.

What does it mean to be emotionally available with the Creator?

It means letting the Creator meet us right where we are, with honesty, instead of waiting until our personality is polished. Real relationship starts with honesty, not perfection. Redemption comes when relationship is allowed to come first, before any fixing.
