If you never allow yourself to feel sadness, your joy can become shallow too.
Not because sadness is the goal, and not because sadness creates awe.
Awe begins when you become aware that you are living before the Creator right now [it's how relationship begins with Him].
You notice wisdom you did not create, power you do not control, and meaning deeper than what you can fully understand.
You become more aware of your limits without feeling less valuable, and your choices begin to matter more because you are living inside a reality whose Source is far beyond you.
Sadness can deepen that awe.
When you notice the gap between how much goodness is revealed and how much more goodness could be revealed, sadness can make you look more deeply at the Creator, His purpose, and what your choices can help bring into the world.
That same sadness can also deepen love.
You can feel grateful for the goodness and closeness that are already revealed while still thinking:
“I want to know You more.”
“I want to feel Your closeness more strongly.”
“I want more of Your goodness to be revealed.”
That longing exists because the relationship matters.
Trust also changes the experience of awe.
If you believe the Infinite Creator is cruel or unpredictable, His greatness can mainly create fear.
But when you increasingly trust that He is good, awe can become the beginning of intimacy.
You are still aware that He is infinitely beyond your understanding and control, but now His greatness does not only create humility.
It also makes you want to come closer.
Joy grows from noticing the goodness and closeness that are already revealed.
Sadness grows from caring about the goodness and closeness that are still hidden.
And both can deepen the same relationship.
So the pattern is not:
No sadness → no awe → no trust → no joy.
It is more connected than that.
Awe helps you notice Who you are living before.
Trust helps you experience His greatness as goodness.
Joy appreciates what is already revealed.
Sadness makes you long for more goodness to be revealed.
And love can hold both joy and sadness while moving you to reveal more goodness through the way you live.

They organize the core ideas on awareness, compassion, boundaries, and how they build real relationship and responsibility with The Creator.
Update: When an individual trusts the Creator is good, awe [wonder, humility and fear], which is felt after noticing patterns of infinite wisdom, causes love to be felt and that love includes sadness because His goodness can always be more revealed and joy.
