because you are the same.
You are finite. The Creator is infinite.
You are created. The Creator is the source of everything.
Like a subject and a king, you are not alike at all. So on your own, there is no natural overlap.
That means oneness can’t come from similarity.
You can’t think your way into it.
You can’t feel your way into it.
You can’t become infinite.
A subject does not become the king in order to be connected to him. So where does connection come from? Connection comes from shared action. A king gives commands. And a subject connects by living according to the king’s will.
The Creator does this on a deeper level. He gives you ways to act that express His will. And when you act in that way, you are participating in something beyond you.
That is the meeting point.
Not where you understand everything.
Not where you become the same.
But where your action and His will meet.
But there is something even deeper. If you don’t trust that The Creator is good, then the whole thing feels heavy. Like control. Like performance. Like something being forced on you.
Trust doesn’t just appear. Your nervous system has to learn it. And it learns through appreciation.
When you pause and notice:
something you were given,
something that worked out,
something meaningful in your life,
you are teaching your system:
“Life is not just performance. There is good here.”
Appreciation builds trust. And trust changes how everything feels. The same action stops feeling forced, and starts feeling like something you can move toward.
That is what allows you to feel it. You can do the action and still not feel the connection. Because your nervous system doesn’t automatically feel safe. Feeling it takes awareness.
When you pause and realize:
“I am doing this because The Creator wants this,” and you’ve been practicing appreciation, something opens.
You begin to feel a kind of awe.
Not fear.
A sense of standing in front of something real that is bigger than you, and good. That feeling brings the action to life. The action creates the connection.
Appreciation builds trust. Trust and awareness let you feel it. That is how a finite person is joined to the Infinite. Not by becoming Him. By acting with Him, and learning to notice it.
Oneness is not sameness. A subject remains a subject. The king remains the king. And still, there can be real closeness.
It is choosing, again and again, to live by the will of The Creator.
