How Can a Finite Human Connect to an Infinite G-d?

The key is awe. Awe means feeling part of something huge. Something completely limitless. Deep awe happens only when you remove limits from your perception of G-d. But here’s something important to consider:

Believing in G-d as a Trinity might unintentionally limit your awe. Sound strange?

Let me break it down:

Awe is the feeling you get standing beneath a night sky bursting with stars. In that moment, your heart opens to wonder, connection, and belonging. You sense something bigger—infinitely bigger—and realize you’re deeply connected to it. But imagine trying to experience that wonder through a tiny window. You’d see only a fraction, right?

That’s exactly what happens when you view G-d as three separate entities with different roles (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

You unintentionally place boundaries around something that’s meant to be completely limitless and one. It’s like trying to pour the ocean into small cups.

It simply doesn’t fit.

Ever feel disconnected, lonely, or incomplete? Maybe you’re desiring a deeper connection—one that only true awe can bring. Here’s how to instantly reconnect:

1. Step outside and look up at the vast sky.

2. Feel wonder. Feel amazed.

3. Remind yourself:

The same infinite G-d who created this limitless beauty also created YOU and desires a deep, personal connection with you. The Hebrew Bible teaches clearly that G-d is completely ONE, specifically so we don’t accidentally limit Him, or ourselves. When you see G-d as unlimited and ONE, your sense of awe naturally grows stronger. And through that awe, you build a genuine, powerful connection to something truly infinite.

Because the truth is simple: When you stop limiting G-d, you stop limiting yourself. Real awe begins exactly where limits end.
