low self esteem can look like humility

Spirituality is not only believing the right ideas or performing the right actions.

It is using your mind to develop awe, love, sadness, and joy, and continually improving your personality so you can live through those feelings, and beginning again when you mess up.

Awe begins by noticing patterns of infinite wisdom in life and allowing what you understand to influence how you feel.

[music can also give your nervous system a feeling of awe/love]

Those patterns can awaken wonder and the awareness:

“I am living before the Creator right now. My choices matter, and my understanding is limited.”

Low self-esteem can block this process because it keeps your attention trapped in judging, proving, or protecting yourself.

Instead of wondering about the Source of the wisdom you notice, you may feel too unworthy to experience closeness, or mistake humility for believing you have little value.

Healthy humility means recognizing both your limits and your value.

It allows noticing infinite wisdom to move you into awe instead of becoming another reason to feel unimportant.

It means practicing compassion along with boundaries.

Love develops as you recognize the Creator’s goodness, wisdom, and constant gift of life, and desire greater closeness to Him.

Love also contains sadness.

The more you love the Creator and His goodness, the more you can feel sadness when that goodness remains hidden by suffering, selfishness, emotional numbness, or felt separation built into creation.

His goodness can always become more revealed, in your personality, your relationships, and the world.

This sadness does not have to pull you away from Him. It can express how deeply you desire greater closeness and give you a reason to reveal more goodness.

Joy grows from knowing that your ordinary thoughts, words, relationships, and actions can help express that goodness.

But these feelings can only shape your life as much as your personality learns how to express them.

That means continually developing greater awareness, compassion, humility, patience, honesty, courage, and healthy boundaries.

Awe helps you remember before Whom you are living.

Love helps you choose closeness, compassion, and connection.

Sadness helps you notice where goodness still needs to become revealed.

Joy gives you energy to reveal it.

And when fear, selfishness, people pleasing, or old survival patterns take control, spirituality does not mean deciding that you have failed.

You notice what happened, take responsibility, repair what you can,
reconnect with what you truly want, and begin again.

The work of improving your personality never ends.

Neither does your ability to return.

They organize the core ideas on awareness, compassion, boundaries, and how they build real relationship and responsibility with The Creator.

Update: When an individual trusts the Creator is good, awe [wonder, humility and fear], which is felt after noticing patterns of infinite wisdom, causes love to be felt and that love includes sadness because His goodness can always be more revealed and joy.
