Clear, inspiring, but still outside of you. Feeling pleasure is like stepping into the light itself.
It warms you. It becomes part of you.
And here’s the secret:
when your mind knows G-d more, the pleasure of learning, doing a commandment, or showing kindness, becomes even deeper.
That’s why Chassidus says: Pleasure is an experience of intimacy with the Creator.
Knowledge grasps something. Pleasure is something. When your soul delights, takes pleasure, in holiness, you’re not just thinking about G-d. You’re experiencing Him from the inside.
Deep awe can be both humbling and pleasurable.
