Blessings aren’t just about saying thanks

“Feeling afraid? You’re halfway to awe”

or expressing appreciation.  They can help change how we feel about things.

Think about the Bangkok earthquake. At first, you feel fear—that’s normal. But here’s what Judaism teaches us:

When we feel scared, we can say a blessing to remember The Creator’s power: “Blessed are You, The Creators, whose strength fills the world.”

Here’s what’s special:

Saying this blessing changes how we feel.

The fear doesn’t just go away; it changes.  Fear becomes awe.

Now you’re not just scared; you’re amazed, too.

Blessings aren’t just words.

They help us feel awe even when we’re unsure or afraid.

Have you ever felt better after saying a prayer or blessing?

I’d love to hear your stories.
