“More Self-compassion leads directly to Creater awe and love for G-d”
Believe it or not, a Psalmists suggest exactly this!
The Sons of Korach boldly declare: “Arise! Why do you sleep, O The Creator? Wake up! Do not abandon us forever!”
But wait—what does THAT mean?
According to the Alter Rebbe, The Creator’s “sleep” reflects our own spiritual state. Feeling distant or disconnected? Maybe it’s because WE’RE spiritually asleep.
Here’s the game-changer:
When we awaken ourselves spiritually—especially by increasing self-compassion—we also awaken our capacity for awe and love ofThe Creator.
Our actions trigger divine responses, echoing through the spiritual energies (sefirot). And how do we wake up?
By embracing kindness and compassion like Abraham, Aaron, and Isaiah—those who “loved to exonerate others rather than condemn.”
Bottom line: Change yourself, change the cosmos.
More self-compassion leads directly to greater awe and love for The Creator
Let’s start waking up together!
