The Creator desires the lowest world, the world of physical dust, to become part of His unity through intimacy with Him.
Creation itself is an expression of His infinite love and kindness. He chose to give existence to a world that could know Him, trust Him, and freely enter into relationship with Him.

How Can a Body Made of Dust Feel Its Source?

The body comes from dust. By itself, it does not naturally feel its Source.
The soul is an expression of the Creator’s light, and through the soul, the physical human personality can feel awe and love toward Him. When awe is felt, the relationship is not only an idea in the mind, the physical nervous system is actually experiencing a relationship with the Creator.

Is the Purpose Only to Have Spiritual Feelings?

But the purpose is deeper than having spiritual feelings.
The Creator wants this physical world, where separation can feel completely real, to freely enter into intimacy with Him. Intimacy requires belief that He is here and trust in His goodness.

How Does the Dust Become Part of His Unity?

Through awe, love, joy, honest conversation, responsibility, and physical acts of goodness, the “dust” itself becomes part of how His unity is expressed in creation.
At a lower way of speaking about Atzmus [the Creator’s intimacy with Himself], we can describe this unity as opposites becoming united like inseparable friends: physical and spiritual, distance and closeness, awe and love.

Can Words Describe This Intimacy?

At a deeper level of Atzmus, no idea or word can describe it.
The intimacy is deeper than anything language can describe.

The blog lists all the difference patterns to study, understanding patterns is how one can develop 'Daas' [felt knowing].
Update: As awe, trust, and love deepen, they can allow greater openness and intimacy with the Creator. That intimacy can include sadness when you notice how much more of His goodness can be revealed.
