Did you know that constantly trying to control exactly how you're held accountable might actually reveal something deeper, something you might not even realize?
Why do we try to control how we are held accountable?
Here's a surprising thought:
When we try really hard to decide the consequences, we might secretly be thinking that the Creator isn't entirely kind or trustworthy. We think we need to step in and "protect" ourselves.
What does real trust in the Creator look like?
What does genuine trust look like, then?
Real trust means believing that the Creator is completely kind, compassionate, and fair. It means trusting that whatever consequences He gives us will ultimately be helpful, even if they feel tough.
Am I trusting the Creator's kindness or afraid He will let me down?
Here's a powerful question to ask yourself:
"Am I trusting the Creator's kindness, or am I secretly afraid He might let me down?"
Letting go a little, doing your best, and staying open to how the Creator handles things, even when it's hard, is the greatest expression of true faith.
