Your ego might be running wild.
Ever notice yourself:
Fighting: always angry or defensive?
Running away: avoiding problems, escaping into your phone?
Freezing: stuck, unable to speak up or make decisions?
Fawning: people-pleasing, desperate for approval?
These are signs your ego is out of control.
Ego says:
“I’m alone. Everything depends on me.”
When you think like this, you disconnect from others—and yourself.
Here’s how to reconnect and calm your ego:
Pause. Notice when you’re fighting, avoiding, freezing, or people-pleasing.
Remind yourself: “I’m not alone. Life doesn’t depend only on me or another person.”
Trust a little more in something bigger—even when things feel scary. Shrink your ego, grow connection.
“Your trauma isn’t hurting you. Your ego is.”

The blog lists all the difference patterns to study, understanding patterns is how one can develop 'Daas' [felt knowing].
Update: As awe, trust, and love deepen, they can allow greater openness and intimacy with the Creator. That intimacy can include sadness when you notice how much more of His goodness can be revealed.
