The more awe you feel, the less control your ego has

Your ego and your soul have opposite diets

Listen to this articleReady

The ego feeds on:

→ Power
→ Control
→ Rewards

It wants to win more than it wants to connect.

But the soul?

It can’t digest any of that.

It feeds on awe — that deep, wonder when you feel part of something infinitely bigger.

Here’s the thing:

Because awe isn’t automatic.

You can’t live on autopilot and expect your soul to feel full.

Awe doesn’t just “happen” while you’re rushing through life.

It’s a muscle.

It grows through intention and practice.

That means slowing down enough to notice:

The sky shifting colors.

The kindness in someone’s words.

The rhythm of your own breath.

The more awe you feel, the more your soul thrives —
and the less your ego can run the show.

Feed your ego, and you’ll chase forever.

Feed your soul, and you’ll feel full without having more.

"The more awe you feel, the less control your ego has... and the more your soul can breathe."

The blog lists all the difference patterns to study, understanding patterns is how one can develop 'Daas' [felt knowing].
Update: As awe, trust, and love deepen, they can allow greater openness and intimacy with the Creator. That intimacy can include sadness when you notice how much more of His goodness can be revealed.
