Is G-d’s Love for the Jewish People Truly Unconditional?

Because if G-d’s love were conditional, the Jewish story would have ended long ago. But it didn’t. Not in exile. Not in destruction. Not in suffering.

And that’s where the deepest truth appears:

Jewish suffering describes an element of a level of the Creators Essence, because only unconditional love survives that kind of darkness (the highest level can't be described with words or ideas).

A love that chooses, returns and rebuilds.

A love that survives the fire and keeps holding on.

When the Jewish people endure darkness and still turn toward G-d, and G-d holds onto us through every generation, you see something no philosophy can explain:

A relationship that is beyond reason, imagination, beyond worthiness, beyond creation itself.

This is what jewish wisdom calls Atzmus (His Essence), the unconditional love that G-d doesn't lack revealing itself through the Jewish soul.

Read this post that explains Atzmus better.

What Does It Mean to Be Chosen by G-d?

So when we say:

“The Jewish people are chosen to be a channel for G-dliness, His light, giving”

we mean:

Through our history, including our suffering, the world sees the one truth nothing can erase:

G-d’s Essence doesn't lack unconditional love, and the Jewish people are a vessel revealing that.

Questions people ask

Does G-d's love for the Jewish people depend on their actions?

No. The article explains that if G-d's love were conditional, the Jewish story would have ended long ago — not in exile, not in destruction, not in suffering. Because the story continued through all of that, the love behind it has to be unconditional, not something the Jewish people had to earn.

What does Jewish wisdom mean by Atzmus?

The article calls it His Essence — a level of unconditional love so deep it can't fully be described with words or ideas. Jewish wisdom teaches that only this kind of love could survive the darkness of exile and destruction and still keep choosing, returning, and rebuilding through every generation.

Why are the Jewish people called chosen?

The article says being chosen means being a channel for G-dliness — carrying G-d's light and giving it to the world. Through Jewish history, including its suffering, the world sees a truth nothing can erase: G-d's Essence doesn't lack unconditional love, and the Jewish people reveal that love as a vessel.

How does Jewish suffering relate to G-d's love?

The article explains Jewish suffering as describing an element of the Creator's Essence, because only unconditional love survives that kind of darkness. Instead of ending the relationship, hardship reveals it: a love that chooses, returns, and rebuilds, and that keeps holding on even through the fire.
