Fight, flight, freeze or fawn... with G-d?

You’re not just running from people.

Listen to this articleReady

You might be running from the Creator.

We talk a lot about Fight, Flight, Freeze (and Fawn, people pleasing) with relationships.

But they show up in your relationship with the Creator, too.

FIGHT

With people: Snapping, debating, or criticizing to stay in control.

With the Creator: Arguing with His plan (that he wants a relationship with you).

Picking apart truth so you don’t have to surrender.

FLIGHT

With people: Ignoring calls. Staying “too busy” to be reached.

With the Creator: Avoiding prayer because you’re sure He doesn’t want to hear from you.

Staying busy so you don’t have to face how disconnected you feel.

FREEZE

With people: Shutting down. Going silent when things get hard.

With the Creator: Going through rituals on autopilot.

Staring at your challenges and thinking, “I can’t do this.”

FAWN

With people: People-pleasing. Agreeing to things you don’t want.

Hiding your true needs to keep the peace.

With the Creator: Over-serving or “performing” spiritually to earn His approval, instead of resting in the truth that you already have it.

These patterns stick because they work—
at least for a moment.

They give comfort.

They numb fear.

They protect you from feeling too much.

But the comfort comes at a cost:

Disconnection.

From people.

From the Creator.

From your own soul.

Healing starts when you find new ways to feel safe—
ways that keep you open to love instead of running from it.

Which one shows up for you most right now—Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn?

Explore the NextSelf Blog. Start with this post explaining the world of souls. And my Youtube. Content is published to this facebook first and a few days later, to the blog.

The blog lists all the difference patterns to study, understanding patterns is how one can develop 'Daas' [felt knowing].
Update: As awe, trust, and love deepen, they can allow greater openness and intimacy with the Creator. That intimacy can include sadness when you notice how much more of His goodness can be revealed.
