If G-d is infinite kindness, why does He hide it?
Because love that’s fully revealed doesn’t leave room for relationship. So He gives through concealment, a hidden generosity that lets us feel separate enough to choose connection on our own.

What Happened to the Ten Vessels in the World of Tohu?
In the beginning — the world of Tohu (chaos), the light of G-d’s kindness was so intense that each of the ten vessels (Divine traits meant to receive it) felt its truth as the only truth.
Kindness saw only kindness.
Strength saw only strength.
Beauty saw only beauty,
They couldn’t share/receive light, because a perfect truth couldn’t yet live with limitation. Then came the first pain, the shock of separateness (ego).
They felt distance from the Infinite and didn’t yet know that separation could also serve unity.
Unable to hold that tension, they shattered, not from punishment, but from being unable to feel pain without losing hope.
That breaking was not failure. It was the beginning of partnership. Because through that structure, we were given the work of healing, to reconnect light and vessel, ego and humility, trauma and truth.
How Do We Repair What the Vessels Could Not Hold?
The shattered sparks of Tohu became part of our own personalities.
Whenever we feel disconnected, and still choose compassion, we repair what they couldn’t hold.
Every time we guide pride into humility, or turn pain into understanding, we’re rebuilding those vessels.
And in the World to Come, when all hidden kindness is revealed, we’ll be able to feel joy without shame, because we’ll know we earned our place in it.
What Was the Purpose of G-d’s Concealment?
The purpose of concealment was never distance, it was dignity.
“G-d conceals His kindness so we could become partners in creation, through repairing our personalities, so in the World to Come we can feel joy without shame.”
